Hello and welcome to Dilavia!

My name is Dilan and I am a Sri Lanka-American with a strong passion for hand-made art. My goal with Dilavia is to share a growing collection of artwork designed and created by local artists in Sri Lanka.

Dilavia stems from a passion for adventuring. I frequently backpack across the Sri Lankan countryside, meeting locals along the way. Small towns are home to many talented artists who have no access to the rest of the country, let alone the world. Dilavia was created to share their original masterpieces with you!

Every product on this website is a handmade original; no prints! Some pieces take 2 weeks to create, while others take more than 2 months! Production stays true to traditional processes, leaving you with a truly unique and special piece for your collection. 

The past few years have been difficult for all businesses. Small-town Sri Lankan artists have an especially hard time due to COVID restrictions and reductions in tourism.

The vision of Dilavia is to give opportunities to highly skilled small-town artists to support their livelihood and craft. A majority of profits supports community humanitarian programs. Examples include orphanage donations and charity medical clinic sponsorships.
